ANGMA Election 2018 is now open for nominations
Nominations are open until 5pm 26/2/18. To nominate please email the current Secretary of
ANGMA, Mr. Geoff Kohn (GKohn@uppergi.net) with the following details:
1. Please confirm that you are a current member of ANGMA.
2. Please provide the name of another member of ANGMA who will second your nomination. This
person also will need to email the Secretary and confirm that they support your nomination, before the closing date of 26/2/18
3. Please indicate whether you want to be considered as a “clinical” or “basic science”
candidate – you must choose one of these (this is safeguard a balance of members on the Committee, after every election).
4. Please provide a summary (~200-300 words) containing information that you would like to tell members during the election process (eg: why you would like to be part of the ANGMA committee, your experience relevant to the position and how you feel you could contribute to the committee coming up to the FNM meeting in Adelaide). This information will be uploaded online on the ANGMA website during the voting period.
The election would be held online. All registered members of ANGMA will be informed about the voting arrangements and will have 1 month in which to lodge their votes.
FNM2018- the Federation of Neurogastroenterology and Motility Conference
FNM 2018, the 3rd meeting of the Federation of Neurogastroenterology and Motility, will take place from Wednesday August 29 through Saturday September 1, in the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This biennial international meeting is jointly organized by the 5 societies representing Asia, Europe, South America, USA and Australasia. The scientific program was developed by a Scientific Program Committee composed of members of all five societies. The Amsterdam-based local organizing hosts of the meeting are André Smout and Arjan Bredenoord.
During the 2.5-day core part of the meeting, 56 invited speakers will deliver lectures on all topics within the field of Neurogastroenterology and Motility. Interspersed between these lectures, oral presentations of selected abstracts will be given. Other selected abstracts will be presented as posters in centrally located lunch-time poster sessions.
In addition, on Wednesday August 29, preceding the core Scientific Meeting, a one-day Postgraduate Course on Gastrointestinal Motility will be held. Eighteen hand-picked lecturers will present updates on all clinically relevant topics in the field.
