ANGMA-2017 Conference Information

ANGMA Scientific Meeting 2017 (31/3/17 – 2/4/17)

The next meeting of ANGMA will be held in Melbourne at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Friday 31st March 2017 to the afternoon of Sunday 2nd April.  This is a great venue for our type of conference – it’s located at: 381 Royal Parade, Parkville, VIC 3052


An exciting program with top national and international speakers is planned.

Dr Lyn Chang (UCLA) will deliver a plenary talk on “Role of brain-gut interactions and stress in IBS” on Saturday 1st April, 4pm.

Structured Symposia in the conference program include:

(1) “Investigating Gut function from the developing to ageing gut” – how the gut develops
(2) “Endoscopic and surgical management of oesophageal disease”  – approaches for diagnosis; mechanisms
(3) “Gut-Brain axis”
(4) “Basic-clinical collaboration (mouse to humans) in investigating the pathology of GI disorders” including abdominal bloating, microbiome, colitis and immune function, IBS mechanisms
(5) “Advances in treatment for GI disorders”
