Gluten in the news!

Exciting research from A/Prof Jessica Biesiekierski shows that people with non-coeliac gluten sensitivity exhibit intestinal symptoms when challenged with gluten, as well as a placebo! This really challenges common assumptions about gluten reactions and suggests that multiple factors, beyond just food, may contribute to gut issues.

This work was recently published in the United European Gastroenterology Journal, and has been highlighted by the Guardian. A/Prof Biesiekierski was also recently interviewed by Channel 9.
